PLANNING COORDINATION FLORALS
CALGARY CANMORE BANFF AND BEYOND
ABOUT THE STUDIO
Hi, I'm Niki
I can't wait to hear about your love story.
Before any of this, I was elbow deep in dirt, building gardens and landscapes for a living. Turns out designing a stunning outdoor space and designing a wedding call on a lot of the same instincts: colour, texture, how something feels when you actually stand in it. Somewhere in that first career, I discovered I had a real knack for logistics and project management. There was nothing better than taking a hundred moving parts and turning them into something amazing.
Florals were a natural next step, and I fell in love with it fast. Flowers pull real emotion out of people, excitement, happiness, sometimes pure shock and awe, and being the one who gets to create that for a couple's day is the best job I can imagine.

Planning was always something I pictured adding eventually. Working closely with couples on their florals, I kept getting pulled into their decor and design decisions too. It was at one meeting that a quiet groom gave me the nudge I needed.
A year later, he called to make sure I had. I had, and I'd gone and gotten my WPIC certification through the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada along the way. Planning and coordination became part of Blooms & Design in 2020, and I haven't looked back since.
Everything I did before this, the horticulture, the years learning how a business truly runs, all those florals for friends and family, was quietly getting me ready for your day.
"You seriously need to include planning so
other couples can experience how great you
are at this."
What i believe
Being trusted with the most important day of someone's life is an honour, and I never lose sight of that. This isn't a job to me. It's a career, and more than that, it's a privilege.
You deserve more than a vendor who shows up. You deserve a team that shows up for you, whatever that takes to make your day perfect.
A FEW MORE FUN FACTS

The father-daughter dance gets me every single time. My team knows to have tissues ready before it even starts.
But if I had to pick a favourite moment, it might be the groom's face the second he sees his bride. There is something about that reaction, the way it never gets old no matter how many weddings I have been part of.
The mountains are my happy place. It is where I go to slow down and remember what actually matters.
I grew up spending weekends skiing and hiking, then coming back to my grandparents' house in the evenings. Some of my best memories are sitting on the riverbank behind that house, listening to the wind in the trees, breathing in that mountain air. That feeling never left me.
I think it is the same feeling that draws so many couples to get married there. The mountains have a way of making you feel small and present all at once. So it is no accident that some of my favourite weddings happen right in that same place.
